There's only one thing worse than a man who lacks common sense, and that's a man who is filthy rich, arrogant, and lacks common sense.
Moron-of-the-month, Steve West, apparently has turned down an interview op from NBC's "Today" show, because, according to wife Carolyn, NBC wouldn't guarantee (free) tickets to a Broadway show and accommodations at the "Plaza", the tab being picked up by NBC.
Apparently, $110 million is just not quite enough to cover the costs of life's luxuries. How unfair.

On "The Today Show" Tuesday morning Al Roker was giving the weather forecast across the country and talking about the cold temperatures across the midwest. The display map showed the upper midwest and had the cities of Omaha and North Platte labeled within their state. He said the "temperature will be in the 30s for North Platte in... uh... North Dakota. (pause) Or South Dakota rather..." Granted, most people would not know that North Platte is in Nebraska offhand, but I would have hoped that a weather man looking at a map could figure out the state by the shape and general location. After seeing it, I immediately thought of your blog.
